Rising Rodent Populations in Yorkshire

AgriPest management have noticed a large increase in calls regarding rodents within sewer/drainage systems in both the domestic and agricultural sectors.
The rise has been blamed on the lack of sewer baiting conducted by the local authorities and water company’s which is due to austerity cuts. This has allowed the rodents to breed freely and when a population gets to a certain size they need to migrate to locate new feeding sites and territories.

Rats will make their way up a system and potentially exploit a fault in the existing pipework, once through the fault they will mine, dig and squeeze there way until they get to the property.

How can we help?

AgriPest management have recently invested in a clever piece of kit, it’s a drainage camera which allows to locate the point in which the rodent is gaining access, we also have other tools in our box, one of which is a rodent drain flap, this allows effluent out but nothing up. This is a much cheaper option than drainage repair as it is sometimes not required.

We also carry out drainage baiting, this will get rid of the current infestation. We use various products available to us as professional Pest Controllers.

So although there is a Yorkshire wide issue with rodents, AgriPest will always have a solution. Our number one priority is you been pest free as we are fully aware of the impact and implications of rodents within your home or place of business.
