AgriPest & AgriBird have had a busy start to the New Year and one of the first jobs on the list was a building in Northallerton that had a serious issue with Pigeons both roosting and perching on the roof and gutters.
Pigeon guano can prove incredibly hazardous to both human health and the buildings structure as well as encouraging other pest species.
The Pigeon guano had built up in the gutter system and had begun overflowing onto the footpath below, as the gutters were full each time it rained a torrent of water and pigeon waste poured down onto the floor, walls and windows below.
We began by installing a scaffold tower to safely access the roof and gutters, once we were up, we began cleaning the roof and gutters.
AgriPest & AgriBird implement various techniques to prevent the pigeons from perching on the roof, both spikes and bird wire had been applied onto the gutters and ridgeline.
These methods have provided instant results after this building had been plagued with pigeons over the last 10 years.
