A large infestation of rabbits had overrun a 600 metre stretch of embankment. The rabbits had been treated with aluminium phosphide gas which achieved a success rate of approximately 85%. We then inspected and ferreted all the holes to ensure the burrows were emptied out. The next step was to dig out and overturn all the warrens to reduce the risk of reinfestation. Once the job was completed we re-seeded the area.
