Persistent squirrel problem (bin raiders)
Squirrels had been chewing out the bottom bungs of commercial waste disposal bins, as well as raiding public bins.
As the area was open to the public, time was of the essence. Longer trapping treatments were not practical due to public safety issues and with the recent changes in legislation the use of squirrel poison was not an option. The decision was made to conduct an early morning shoot. All squirrels were quickly dispatched.
